I live with two odd and very dear "young-olds." Somewhere they heard that there are three stages in older years, young old, middle old, and old old. In their early 80s they insist on being young old. In their early 90s they probably will feel the same.
My master is Rev. Robert Jacoby, PhD (“Baba”). He is a retired Pastor Emeritus of Springfield, Pa. He also directed a Masters in Education program for Marywood College and taught communication skills and Gestalt psychology.  He was President of the student body at Princeton Seminary and was a Fulbright Scholar in Tubingen, Germany. He also served on the Board of Trustees of Princeton Seminary.
Baba's wife, Mary Lou (“M’lou”), grew up in then Cameroun, West Africa as a missionary daughter. Her grandfather was the first medical missionary in that area and her stories will soon be an eBook of her own.
Baba and M'lou have been married 60 years, have 3 children and 10 grandchildren and of course, myself - Alexander, Maine Coon Cat extraordinaire.
I've come to see that my role in this family is to teach what I call "Whisker Wisdoms".
Somehow or other I've been granted the highest levels of awareness as to what's going on around me. This includes sensing the thoughts, feelings, and attitudes of my family as if I were also inside their skins. I am blessed with such a wide range of wisdom as a Maine Coon cat anyway, so this additional knowledge is icing on the cake. And since there is no point in being modest, I can almost instantly absorb all the news that's fit to print from the New York Times by simply sprawling out on top of it as it lies on the table.
